The seating posture on the Denago e-bikes is pretty comfortable, but the assistance of the engine makes you feel quite athletic. At the same time, passages across problematic surfaces are also simple. Due to the solid construction and suspension fork, we always maintain control. The hydraulic braking system serves us well and is very reminiscent of the competition from Tektro.

Denago Fat Tire: Motor and Battery

The drive of an e-bike, in addition to the handling, is what you notice initially. However, we purposefully chose not to describe it right away. Despite having a strong 750W of power, the Motinova mid-engine rarely asserts itself in front of other variants. We like that quite a lot.

However, we have never heard of the manufacturer before, so we wonder why. The mid-engine excels at performing its duty. It has fairly calm behavior and is not overly animated. The motor then deftly develops its strength and obviously pulls you beneath your legs whenever it is essential, such as when it is loaded or when traveling uphill.

The four support levels have also undergone careful tuning. Denago relies on an unknown engine maker in this case, but he clearly knows his stuff. This results in a drive system that is also suitable for touring when coupled with the 921.6 watt-hour battery.

Denago e-bikes are also not intended for “stokers.” Seven gears enable them to transport you easily up to the legal support limit of 45 km/h. Driving beyond the motor support is challenging, nevertheless, due to the highest gear’s translation. The Denago SUV e-bikes have a fairly high cadence above 45 km/h. You won’t encounter any issues, though, if you choose to ride with assistance within the allowed range to going a little quicker on your own.

Unfortunately, the Denago e-bikes lack a display that would allow you to accurately determine the speed. In this case, you must rely on a smartphone holder and an associated app. There would have been space for a small LCD display, which is a feature found on many other e-bikes, with a smaller control unit.

And finally, I’d love to test the Denago’s capacity to tote cargo if accessories, specifically front and rear racks, become available through Denago Fat Tire. With the correct storage additions, I have a hunch this would make a terrific vehicle for excursions to the grocery shop.

The front end of the bike feels shaky when braking since the suspension fork has a lot of fore-aft motion. However, the suspension does a good job of absorbing significant bumps and the majority of chatter, even if it does pile up when hits happen quickly. Although it’s typically a lovely touch, I’m not convinced it’s really essential given the enormous tires.

Euphree City Robin X: Design and Build Quality

Removed the last screw after unpacking: The Euphree City Robin X makes it that quick. The Euphree City Robin X, however, proves unequivocally that rider size is not always determined by wheel size. The e-bike City Robin X is still very comfy even at 1.80. We can also adjust the handlebars on the city e-bike so that we may sit comfortably and with an upright posture thanks to the adjustable stem. However, because we had to move the seat post out of the frame a little bit further than was allowed, it is more suited for persons under 1.80 m.

In addition to the strong engine, the City Robin X is largely designed for comfort. You don’t often want to use the full throttle on the inexpensive city e-bike, especially not with your own strength. It is instead calm and stress-free. On the one hand, the upright sitting position and the Wave frame’s low, comfortable entry ensure this. However, there are also the spring components.

The SR Suntour 100 mm suspension fork at the front smooths out road humps. Although the fork’s quality is entry-level, it is still far superior to several low-cost e-bikes. However, our model finds the standpipes to be very simple already.

Unfortunately, the wheels also guarantee the most comfortable ride: Additional comfort is offered by the two-inch wide Kenda 27.5 x 2.125″ tires. Additionally, the saddle is really cozy.

Euphree relies on trusted pals for the brakes and gears. When testing e-bikes from the lower price range, we frequently run into the mechanical disc brakes from Tektro and the 7-speed gears from Shimano. And there’s a good reason for it – they’re effective.

The Tektro brake decelerates as intended after being properly adjusted and run in. Despite the engine’s great power, we feel like we have a good braking system. Here, you pick it up quickly and avoid that from happening.

Even though the motor appears to have a lot of power, the test’s energy usage felt reasonable to us. The 672 watt-hour battery’s stated range of 80 kilometers, according to Euphree, seems very doable if we drive a little more wisely. It’s great that some manufacturers additionally include settings for the battery that have been proven to work.

Narrak S128: Motor and Battery

I had numerous opportunities in daily life to get to know the nimble e-bike. It truly moves like a tractor that evolved from a little folding bike. In theory, it combines the benefits of both worlds without creating significant obstacles. Despite the lack of a torque sensor, I appreciate the small design and the precise controls. The Narrak S128 is solid and comfortable. The mechanical disc brakes offer adequate grip, and the gears consistently perform their function.

Due to the cost, a suspension fork is not installed, although the thick tires provide more comfort than usual. I’m slowly approaching the Narrak S128’s upper limit with my 1.80 m height. I wouldn’t necessarily suggest the bike for those above 1.85 m tall due to how small it is. However, it is simple to drive up to this point.

The mechanism for folding is highly stable. The fuses and the hinges are very sturdy. This makes it possible to fold the Narrak S128 up really compactly. It works nicely for storage or transport even if I wouldn’t want to repeat the process frequently.

The little bike actually has a lot to offer in terms of features for only $795. Hitway BK6: Design and Build Quality

How do you sit on the e-bike as a first test? Despite being particularly short, the saddle doesn’t press against or otherwise bother the crotch. more comfortable than anticipated, and the seating arrangement is also very relaxing. The tall BMX handlebars provide an upright stance and excellent peripheral vision.

Even at 1.85 meters tall, you don’t feel like Donkey Kong in a go-kart despite the tiny tires, rather a hybrid of a motorcycle and a scooter. It makes sense that the Hitway BK6 has a passenger package so that a passenger can sit comfortably on the luggage rack.

With the exception of the road noise, the combination of an upright seating position, broad tires, and a stable base with a suspension fork is pleasantly steady and silent. Wide tire tread combined with the motion of the rear-wheel drive results in audible background noise, especially when accelerating suddenly. similar to an e-moped.

There are also many options for outings across the grass and slalom rides on tarmac and gravel. Although it is possible to drive on grass, only careful drivers are advised to do so because of the small tires. Paved routes are ideal for using the Hitway.
