Design and Build Quality

One notable aspect of the KBO Breeze is its step-through frame design, which makes mounting and dismounting the bike extremely simple, especially for riders who might have mobility issues. This design decision also improves the bike’s overall use and accessibility.

KBO Breeze Review: Design and Build Quality

Another highlight is the front fork, which has 80 millimeters of travel with a lockout mode. This is very useful for smoothing out small bumps and guaranteeing a comfortable ride. Depending on the terrain or the rider’s inclination, the option to lock out the fork increases adaptability by enabling riders to alternate between a more responsive suspension and a rigid feel.

KBO Breeze Review: handlebars

Wider tires provide to increased stability, which is a benefit for commuters and recreational riders seeking a secure ride. This stability enhances the riding experience overall and provides an extra degree of security, particularly on uneven or rugged terrain.

KBO Breeze Review: Design and Build Quality

The bike weighs only 62 pounds thanks to the aluminum frame, which also retains its strength and durability. It is now simpler to handle and transport—for example, you can lift it onto a bike rack without help.

KBO Breeze Review: seat is described as exceptionally comfortable for long rides

The bike is made more useful and practical by the addition of extras like water bottle cage, full-coverage aluminum fenders, and a rear cargo rack with a 50-pound payload capacity. Its adaptability is increased by these additions, which make it appropriate for weekend excursions, grocery runs, and everyday commuting.

KBO Breeze Review: front fork, which has 80 millimeters of travel

The integrated headlamp and tail lamp are thoughtful additions that improve visibility during evening rides, enhancing safety for the rider.

The comfort level of the KBO is praised, particularly the seat and handlebars. The seat is described as exceptionally comfortable for long rides, offering ergonomic support that reduces fatigue.

KBO Breeze Review: 27.5''X2.4'' tires

The broader handlebar ends improve grip and control while riding by giving the palms a pleasant place to rest. This ergonomic design element makes cycling more pleasurable and stress-free.

The bike’s general performance and design are lauded, however given its price point in comparison to competitors, it is mentioned that the computer system would need a minor upgrade to provide more functionality. Nonetheless, the seamless power delivery is greatly valued; this is particularly apparent when utilizing the throttle or pedal assist mode.

KBO Breeze Review: Shimano 7-speed

Thus, the KBO Breeze emphasizes comfort, versatility, and performance while fusing a well-thought-out design with excellent build quality. With features that improve the riding experience and make it enjoyable to use every day, it’s a commuter’s dream.

KBO Breeze: Driving Test

A smooth and pleasurable riding experience is provided by the various pedal assist settings available on the KBO Breeze electric bike. Based on your experience, the pedal assist modes are broken down as follows:

KBO Breeze Review: on the road or driving test

Level 1 (Lowest):

Starting off on the lowest level for both the shifter and pedal assist, the bike maintains a comfortable pace of around seven miles per hour. However, you noted that this speed might be influenced by the tire pressure and could potentially be higher with proper inflation.

Level 2 (First Pedal Assist Level):

Moving up to the first pedal assist level, you experienced a noticeable increase in power without the abrupt or aggressive torque delivery often found in some e-bikes. This smooth transition into higher power levels is appreciated, as it allows for a more controlled and enjoyable ride.

Level 3 (Second Pedal Assist Level):

Transitioning to pedal assist level three, you were impressed by the significant boost in speed, reaching up to 19 miles per hour while pedaling. This level of power offers a satisfying ride experience, providing ample assistance without feeling overly forceful or jarring.

Level 4 (Third Pedal Assist Level):

Continuing to pedal assist level four, you further increased your speed, reaching up to 22 miles per hour. The smooth integration of power delivery and the ability to comfortably maintain this speed indicates the bike’s capability to handle higher power levels without sacrificing stability or control.

Level 5 (Highest Pedal Assist Level):

While you didn’t explicitly mention level five, it can be inferred that the bike’s highest pedal assist level provides even more power, potentially reaching the maximum speed of 25 miles per hour. This level of assistance is ideal for those looking for a faster-paced ride or tackling steeper inclines with ease.

KBO Breeze Review: 500W motor

The addition of a twist throttle increases the bike’s adaptability by enabling riders to use the throttle alone when necessary. The bike can travel up to 22 miles per hour just on the throttle, offering a convenient alternate form of propulsion for short bursts of speed.

You mentioned that the bike responds rapidly to pedal input, making acceleration simple even when it’s not in a higher gear. The bike’s responsiveness can be attributed to its effective motor and perfectly adjusted pedal assist system.

The bike’s brakes functioned effectively, enabling simple acceleration and speed control as you increased to pedal assist level five. The combination of a 500-watt sustained motor and a seven-speed Shimano Altus gear set offers a potent mix of power and versatility.

KBO Breeze Review: car mount

The smooth and easy shifting, facilitated by the large button and ergonomically mounted lever, adds to the overall riding experience. You found the bike to be quite fast, effortlessly tackling hills and maintaining high speeds without much effort.

You noticed during the throttle test that the bike still maintained a solid 16 miles per hour, even though it takes a little longer to reach greater speeds uphill. As you descended the hill, you were able to attain even greater speeds, demonstrating the bike’s versatility in dealing with uneven surfaces and gradients.

Additionally, you said that the KBO Breeze is a powerful and speedy bike that is ideal for commuters or riders seeking an exciting and quick ride. The only small problem you had was a distinct noise coming from the fender rubbing against the tire.

Due to its rapid pedal assist, seamless shifting, and remarkable speed capabilities, the KBO Breeze is an attractive option for riders looking for an effective and dynamic electric bike for recreational or daily use.

Battery and Range

For riders seeking longer ride times between recharging sessions, the KBO Breeze step-through model is a sensible option because to its remarkable range and flexible charging options.

KBO Breeze Review: 768 watt-hour lithium-ion battery

With its 768 watt-hour lithium-ion battery, the bike can ride for about 30 miles without the need for pedal assistance when fully charged. Its range may be further increased by using pedal assist, so you can ride for longer distances or commute without having to worry about running out of juice.

KBO Breeze Review: 768 watt-hour lithium-ion battery

The KBO Breeze comes with a 48-volt 3-amp charger, which makes charging it easy. It takes around five hours to fully charge the battery, so you can get between rides quickly. Additionally, the battery’s accessibility via the top of the frame makes it easy to remove and bring indoors for charging or storage, adding to the bike’s convenience and user-friendly design.

KBO Breeze: Conclusions

In summary, considering its price range, the KBO Breeze step-through electric bike has a strong combination of features, performance, and value. For both daily commuting and leisurely rides, the bike’s smooth power delivery, comfortable riding, outstanding range, and quick charging choices cater to a wide range of riders’ needs.

KBO Breeze Review

All things considered, the Breeze is an excellent option for anyone looking for an efficient and pleasurable electric bike. We appreciate your time, and if you thought this material was useful, please think about liking and sharing it. Enjoy your trips, whether you drive, fly, ride, or use electric power till the next time!

SWFT Fleet Review: Elegant Budget E-Bike 2024!

0
SWFT Fleet Review

Hey, Mikey here for Electrik, and today we’re diving into the SWFT Fleet e-bike. Thanks for joining me on this ride! For individuals wishing to begin their journey with e-bikes, SWFT’s Fleet is an excellent entry-level model. With simple touchpoints and a laid-back riding experience that’s ideal for leisurely cruises, comfort is the main focus.

Surprisingly considering its price, the Fleet’s remarkable range is one of its best qualities. Despite the emphasis on keeping prices low, it’s evident that SWFT didn’t cut corners on the electric system. Because of this, the Fleet is an incredible value among electric bikes.

$633.62
Amazon.com

We’ll look more closely at the Fleet’s performance, comfort, and design in my next review. For the complete story on this remarkable yet reasonably priced electric cruiser, keep checking back with Electrik!

Frame material: Steel
Motor: 500W rear hub
Top speed (motorized):20mph
Control: Twist throttle and cadence-sensor pedal assist
E-bike classification: Class 2
Speeds: Single-speed
Power: 468Wh lithium battery
Range: 37.2 max, 28 avg. miles
Weight: 50.7 pounds
Weight limit: 265 pounds
Size range: Best for 5’7” to 6’2”

Design and Build Quality

The SWFT Fleet electric bike is a strong choice for its price range because it has a stylish appearance and high-quality construction. The integrated front light improves the bike’s appearance in addition to adding usefulness.

SWFT Fleet Review: front light

Cost-cutting techniques are most apparent in the mechanical system, notably in the single-speed pedal layout, even though the electric system is remarkable considering the price point. Its preference for comfortable cruising over energetic riding and severe climbs may limit its adaptability, but it also adds to its appealing appearance.

SWFT Fleet Review: tires

Though it prioritizes cruising over extreme riding, the Fleet is nonetheless a cozy ride. A smooth and pleasurable riding experience is enhanced by the broad and soft saddle with internal springs, the ergonomic handlebars, the relaxed riding position, and the complementary brown color scheme.

SWFT Fleet Review: rim brakes are sufficient for comfortable cruising

It is feasible to commute with the SWFT Fleet, albeit it is not the main purpose of the bike. While the rim brakes are sufficient for comfortable cruising, they might not be appropriate for riding at high speeds. Nonetheless, the bike is appropriate for short commutes and leisurely rides due to its reduced weight and comfortable design.

SWFT Fleet Review: soft saddle

Apart from the bike, SWFT provides helpful services like expert assembly, free delivery, and a welcoming return policy. This, along with the bike’s accessibility nationwide and reasonable price, make the SWFT Fleet an appealing option for consumers on a tight budget who want an elegant and cozy electric cruiser bike.

SWFT Fleet: Driving Test

Offering a throttle override function in addition to pedal assist, the SWFT Fleet electric bike gives users a variety of riding alternatives. When cruising, the throttle override is especially fun since it lets riders kick back and let the bike take care of the job, or they can exert a little more effort for a more customized ride. Using the throttle while relaxing is something I enjoy doing myself, especially on long trips.

SWFT Fleet Review: on the road or driving test

The SWFT Fleet’s pedal assist feature makes use of a kittens bass system, which is renowned for being laid back. The Fleet’s three degrees of help are adequate for the majority of riding scenarios, even though some other systems might provide five levels for additional customization.

SWFT Fleet Review: display

During my time riding the bike, I didn’t feel the need for more levels of assistance as the three levels provided a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

SWFT Fleet Review: on the road or driving test

So, the SWFT Fleet’s mix of throttle override and pedal assist increases riding adaptability and accommodates a range of riding styles and tastes. This bike may accommodate your preference for a leisurely ride or a little more work.

Battery and Range

The electric system of the SWFT Fleet electric bike is its most unexpected feature. The bike is reasonably priced, yet it has a powerful 48-volt, 10-amp-hour battery. It is surprising that this higher capacity battery is available at this pricing point because one would normally expect a smaller battery, such a 36-volt system.

SWFT Fleet Review: 468Wh lithium battery

The stated maximum range of 37.2 miles on a single charge is even more astounding. For a bike in its class, this range is noteworthy and indicates that the SWFT is built for longer trips without regular recharging. It’s evidence of the effectiveness and performance of the bike’s built-in electric technology.

SWFT Fleet Review: on the road or driving test

A longer range and a bigger battery capacity provide riders more options and let them travel farther between charges without having to worry about running out of juice too soon. The SWFT Fleet’s inclusion of this function distinguishes it from many other electric motorcycles in its class and greatly enhances the value of the entire package.

Price

With its features and performance, the SWFT Fleet electric bike is already highly enticing at an MSRP of $999. The value proposition doesn’t stop there, though. SWFT sells their e-bikes on the internet and in a few chosen Best Buy locations in the United States. This retail relationship offers potential customers the ease of shopping from a reliable merchant in addition to improving accessibility.

SWFT Fleet Review

What’s even more alluring is that the SWFT Fleet is available at even more alluring prices during Black Friday deals and other promotions. The bike is an even better deal because of the discounted rates offered during these sales, even if I am unable to comment on the precise stock or availability during these events.

SWFT Fleet Review: Single-speed

It used to be difficult to get a good electric bike in this price range. But times have changed, and the SWFT Fleet is a great illustration of how e-bikes can now be had for a reasonable price without sacrificing features or quality. Bike brands like Fleet maintain their impressive value proposition in the face of adversities like the pandemic and shipment delays. This makes them a great option for customers on a tight budget who want a dependable and fun electric bike experience.

SWFT Fleet: Conclusions

Look no farther than the SWFT Fleet if you’re searching for a simple, retail-ready electric cruiser that provides comfort, style, and affordability. It checks all the boxes for anyone looking for a dependable and pleasurable electric bike experience thanks to its stylish appearance, cozy amenities, and reasonable price range.

SWFT Fleet Review: Twist throttle and cadence-sensor pedal assist

That’s my opinion of the SWFT Fleet, but I’d want to know what you think. Please leave a remark below with your thoughts. I appreciate you listening to Electrik, and I hope to see you all in the future one. Be careful!

Design and Build Quality

You can tell the NCM C5 is well-made and has a sporty look as soon as you lay eyes on it. The handlebars are the first area where the bike’s sporting heritage is evident. Because the handlebar ends are movable, users can position themselves for maximum comfort when riding. The bike also has “horns” on the front, which enhance its aggressive and dynamic look.

NCM C5 Review: Design and Build Quality

The NCM C5 has an eye-catching and distinctive design. Regardless of the bike’s performance characteristics, the handlebars and ends contribute significantly to its overall appearance. The bike has a sleek and sporty look, and its traditional diamond frame has a timeless, minimalistic appeal.  The diagonal roughness of the frame is subtle yet effective, contributing to the bike’s aesthetic without being overly thick or conspicuous.

NCM C5 Review: handlebars

In terms of color options, the NCM C5 offers dark green, dark blue, and silver variations, providing riders with choices that stand out while remaining tasteful. Additionally, the bike is available in two sizes, M and L, catering to riders of different heights. Even at 190 centimeters tall, riders can still enjoy a comfortable and well-fitted experience on the C5.

NCM C5 Review: front light

The build quality of the NCM C5 is top-notch, ensuring durability and reliability on the road. Despite its sporty appearance, the bike maintains a level of grace and sophistication that enhances its overall appeal. Whether you’re cruising around town or tackling challenging terrain, the C5 delivers a premium riding experience that combines style with performance.

NCM C5 Review: handlebars

While it leans towards being slightly on the heavier side, weighing 18 kilograms with the battery and 15 kilograms without, this doesn’t detract from its overall appeal. Despite the weight, the C5 remains gracefully light and clear, maintaining its sporty look and feel.

NCM C5 Review: rear light

One notable aspect of NCM’s service is their online ordering system, allowing customers to test the bikes for up to ten kilometers and return them within 30 days if needed. This provides a level of security and assurance for buyers, ensuring they can make an informed decision about the bike’s suitability.

NCM C5 Review: Design and Build Quality

With reflectors at the front, rear, and spokes, the C5’s safety elements are expertly integrated and adhere to StVZO compliance regulations. Bright and adjustable front lighting improves visibility while riding. It is important to remember that the back light is manually activated and does not run on batteries, which may cause a small annoyance.

NCM C5 Review: CST, C1808

Because of its adjustable inclination, the C5 offers a smooth and pleasant ride that even handles turns. It’s a single-speed chain-drive bike, but it’s easy to use, so it’s good for riders that prefer simple functionality.

NCM C5 Review: CST, C1808

Thus, the NCM C5 is an appealing option for riders looking for a dependable and fashionable electric bike because of its robust construction, safety features, and sporty looks.

NCM C5: Driving test

Riding a single-speed bike, such as the NCM C5, may initially worry a lot of people, but my experience with several single-speed bikes has demonstrated that it doesn’t always have to be a disadvantage. The C5 is a dependable option since, although a belt drive would be a good addition, I haven’t had any problems with the chain or excessive noise.

NCM C5 Review: on the road or driving test

The cadence or gear ratio of single-speed bikes is frequently the source of concern since it can make it difficult to comfortably maintain greater speeds. Nonetheless, the C5’s robust build makes it possible to pedal smoothly and effectively even at higher speeds. Even if the initial effort is a little bit more, particularly in the first 23 revolutions, it’s not extremely demanding, which adds to the enjoyment of riding.

NCM C5 Review: Das-Kit E2 and controls

The motor in the C5 is particularly impressive, offering 60 newton meters of torque while remaining remarkably quiet. This combination of power and silence enhances the overall riding experience. The motor’s performance is noticeable, especially in the third support level, providing ample power for uphill climbs and maintaining speed.

NCM C5 Review: Das-Kit, X2, 36V 350W / 600W

The inclusion of a torque sensor further enhances the bike’s usability, ensuring a more natural and responsive riding feel. Compared to speed sensors, a torque sensor adds power to your pedal strokes more seamlessly, creating a smoother and more intuitive ride.

NCM C5 Review: Selle Royal, Prestige-1307URN

The handlebars on the NCM C5 are notably narrow, contributing to its super sporty feel and quick, agile ride. When gripping the handlebar ends, it feels akin to riding a racing bike, perfect for maneuvering through city streets with ease. This narrow design encourages a more aggressive pedaling style, pushing riders to go faster and maintain speeds beyond the 25 kilometers per hour mark effortlessly.

NCM C5 Review: on the road or driving test

The C5’s performance in city traffic is impressive, thanks to its responsive handling and quick acceleration. The bike’s sporty nature encourages riders to navigate through traffic and narrow gaps confidently. This blend of agility and power makes the C5 a lively and enjoyable e-bike for daily commuting and city riding.

NCM C5 Review: on the road or driving test

While the bike excels in urban environments, it’s also suitable for hilly terrain. However, riders should be prepared for a firm ride, as the thin CST tires prioritize speed over cushioning. Despite the lack of suspension, the See Royal saddle provides a comfortable seating position, complementing the overall riding experience.

NCM C5 Review: Dual pivot caliper Brakes

The C5’s construction quality is excellent, and its rim brakes provide responsive, accurate stopping force. It could take some work to properly adjust the brakes during installation, but once they are, they operate dependably when needed. This comfort increases the bike’s allure and improves safety when riding in a hurry through the city.

NCM C5 Review: on the road or driving test

Thus, the NCM C5 offers a thrilling yet comfortable ride for both urban and mountainous situations, striking a balance between sportiness and practicality. It is a pleasurable and adaptable e-bike for daily use because to its sleek design, fast brakes, and snappy handling.

Battery and Range

Though it might not seem remarkable at first, the NCM C5’s large 432 watt-hour battery is surprisingly astounding given the bike’s lightweight and sporty appearance. With some pedaling on the part of the rider, this battery capacity can deliver a range of up to 100 kilometers. The sleek and sophisticated keys that come with the bike make it easy to remove or securely lock the battery into place. There is also a button on the battery to monitor its energy levels.

NCM C5 Review: Das-Kit, i6-3612, 36V 12Ah, 432Wh

It might take some getting used to, though, as the battery status indicator is part of a multipurpose control unit with additional functions. Regrettably, the overall build quality of this control unit is compromised by its plastic construction. Its puristic design remains intact in spite of this, and riders can use it to switch on and off the bike, activate the pedal-assist mode, and regulate the lights.

While a mini display similar to those found in some Shimano systems might have been more intuitive, the combination of functionalities in the C5’s control unit provides a comprehensive range of features. With a bit of adjustment, riders can easily navigate and utilize the control unit to enhance their riding experience and manage the bike’s electric assistance seamlessly.

NCM C5: Conclusions

In the end, I had an incredibly pleasurable surprise when using the NCM C5. I didn’t think I would enjoy it as much as I did, but the bike turned out to be a true gem – especially now that the NCM website has reduced the price of the bike to just 879 euros. Considering the features and performance the C5 offers, this price point is really appealing.

NCM C5 Review: on the road or driving test

Sporty commuters, city people, urban hipsters, and anyone else who enjoys the comfort of an e-bike without needing a lot of bells and whistles or connectivity options should definitely choose the NCM. It’s great for people who want to go rapidly and sportily from point A to point B, but keep in mind that comfort isn’t the main priority.

The C5’s dynamics and agility make it an appealing option for riders looking for a fun and nimble urban ride, even though it may not be a luxurious city cruiser. The athletic design of the C5 may put some strain on longer trips, but its speed at covering distances more than makes up for it.

NCM C5 Review: Design and Build Quality

In light of its features, performance, and current cost, the NCM C5 is an excellent package for less than 900 euros. It is normally priced at 1,100 euros, so I’m not sure how long this discount will stay. Still, it is a great deal. Thank you for reading and see you next time!

MACFOX X2 Review: 750W and 20Ah E-bike 2024!

MACFOX X2 Review: 750W and 20Ah E-bike 2024!

This is a summary of the eagerly anticipated MACFOX X2 review. Since I had such a good experience with the X1 model, I’m really thrilled about this one. With my discount code, you may save a hundred dollars off the X1’s $1,000 price. These days, the X2 boasts some noteworthy improvements that support its increased cost.

First of all, the X2’s full suspension is a game-changer for handling and comfort. In addition, it has a seven-speed gear system, turn signals, and a half twist throttle, which make it adaptable to many riding situations. Another noteworthy feature is the headlamp, which provides both high and low beam options for great visibility, particularly at night when riding.

One of the cool additions is the handle at the back, allowing you to carry items or even give a friend a lift, akin to a skateboard. The long saddle seat ensures comfort during long rides, and the metal pedals provide durability and grip.

The power has been upgraded from 500 watts to 750 watts, with a peak of a thousand watts, delivering a more robust performance. However, a crucial tip for potential buyers is to make sure to use the discount code provided in the description and on-screen. This code will knock off $100 from the price, bringing it down to a reasonable $1599. Not only does this save you money, but it also supports the channel, which is a win-win.

Design and Build Quality

According to your thorough review, the MACFOX X2 appears to offer a combination of outstanding capabilities and some areas that could use better.

MACFOX X2 Review: Design and Build Quality

First off, the front end is lauded for its convenience, however the grips are criticized for being a little cheap. Particularly noteworthy are the hydraulic brakes, which include a seven-speed Shimano gearbox for easy gear changes. We admire how well-organized the front cable management is. It’s said that the BMX handlebars rise very high, but that could just be a question of taste.

Moving on to the display and controls, the power button and backlight options are noted, along with separate controls for the headlight, turn signals, and high/low beams. The functionality of these controls is explained well, including the need to have certain buttons engaged for features like brake lights and turn signals.

MACFOX X2 Review: controls and display

The front suspension is highlighted for its unique dual preload adjustments, which the reviewer finds intriguing and looks forward to testing on the road. The suspension’s performance is particularly important given the bike’s upgrade from the X1 model.

The motor, a 750-watt unit with a 1000-watt peak, is showcased along with the Shimano seven-speed derailleur, creating a clean setup. The battery, a 48-volt, 20-amp hour unit with a removable design and USB port for charging accessories, is discussed, although there are concerns about its stability on the mount.

MACFOX X2 Review: front light

The potential for adding a secondary battery for extended range is mentioned, with an estimated range of up to 90 miles with both batteries connected. The weight of the bike (65 pounds) is noted as being light and agile, which is generally appreciated for maneuverability.

The build quality is further assessed through features like the metal pedals with grips, which are seen as a nice upgrade compared to other e-bikes. The brake system, with 180-millimeter brakes, is praised for its effectiveness and visual appeal with red accents.

MACFOX X2 Review: Hydraulic brakes

So, the MACFOX X2 is presented as a bike with a mix of impressive features, such as its motor power, suspension adjustments, and additional battery options, alongside areas that could be improved, like the grips and battery mount stability. The review sets the stage for a real-world test to determine if the bike lives up to its features and price point.

Driving Test

Your thorough usage of the MACFOX X2 offers insightful information about its operation and performance.

MACFOX X2 Review: on the road or driving test

First of all, you reported that the bike felt smooth and that the seat was comfy. You also loved your first ride. The bike’s top speed run, which reached about 30 miles per hour, demonstrated that its speed readings were correct. You did, however, notice that the motor made a faint grinding sound when it reached faster speeds, which would worry some riders.

You made a comparison between the X2 and the X1, pointing out that while the X2 is still not very quick, it does have greater power and can go faster. The speed and responsiveness of the pedal engagement and throttle response were complimented.

MACFOX X2 Review: Design and Build Quality

During your tests, you evaluated the bike’s braking performance, which you found to be excellent, stopping quickly and effectively even at higher speeds. The turning radius was also mentioned, although there was an issue with the frame touching the ground during sharp turns, which you suggested could be addressed with additional padding or modifications.

You tested the bike’s off-road capabilities, finding that it struggled on steep hills despite being equipped with full suspension. You rated the suspension at around 6.5 to 7 out of 10, noting that it could be more comfortable, especially on rough terrain.

MACFOX X2 Review: Shimano 7 Gear

Other observations included the crooked position of the battery, the lack of a horn or bell, and the potential for improvements in the suspension and frame design.

Your continued evaluation of the MACFOX X2 sheds more light on its performance and comfort levels.

Despite the bike’s improved speed and overall performance compared to the X1, you noted that it falls short of your expectations in terms of comfort, especially on bumpy terrain. While the rear shocks and seat offer some cushioning, you felt that the front suspension could be better, considering the bike’s price point.

MACFOX X2 Review: Twist Throttle

During your test rides, you highlighted the bike’s ability to handle off-road situations reasonably well, although landings could be softer. The bike’s spacious design also allows for a passenger, making it suitable for two riders comfortably.

Regarding handling, you initially found the handlebars set a bit high, but you later realized that they provided a comfortable stance while riding. However, you mentioned a preference for lower-rise handlebars for a more connected and aggressive feel.

MACFOX X2 Review: on the road or driving test

You complimented the bike’s precise range calculation and speed readings, pointing out that they exactly matched the GPS data on your phone. You were impressed by the bike’s accuracy, and it received good scores for it.

You voiced a few small complaints about the grips themselves, mentioning that they felt cheap and tended to move while you rode. These were mentioned as you wrapped up your ride and provided your final impressions. But you liked that the bike had a half-throttle, which makes it more practical and easy to use.

MACFOX X2 Review: 750W/H (48V 20ah) battery

Thus, your comprehensive review gives prospective customers a clear picture of the MACFOX X2’s advantages—like speed and accuracy—as well as its shortcomings—like comfort and grip quality.

MACFOX X2: Conclusions

Here is a summary of the MACFOX X2 electric bike’s advantages and disadvantages to conclude my evaluation of it.

MACFOX X2 Review: 750W and 20Ah E-bike 2024!

To begin with the positives, I think the seat is the best feature; it’s quite comfortable and makes lengthy trips enjoyable. Additionally, there is versatility in seating configurations because to the roomy design. Another noteworthy benefit is the headlight, which provides great vision for nighttime riding. Enough power and range are provided by the improved motor and 20Ah battery, guaranteeing a dependable and pleasurable ride. Furthermore, it’s really practical and amazing how exact the speed and range data are without using a phone GPS.

However, there are a few drawbacks worth mentioning. Despite having front and rear suspension, the front suspension falls short in providing a comfortable ride, especially for lighter riders. The lack of integration between the brake light and brake levers is a missed opportunity for added safety features. While the metal pedals offer good grip, they can be a bit harsh on the shins if slipped.

MACFOX X2 Review: Design and Build Quality

In my opinion, the X1 model continues to provide the best value for the money when taking into account the pricing point. Even with the rebate, the price of the X2 seems a little excessive considering the extra features—mostly the suspension changes. Considering the little changes from the X1, I would have preferred to see the X2 priced more competitively in the $1300 to $1400 area.

I still enjoy riding the bike in spite of these issues, and I intend to test its functionality on longer excursions. Please feel free to leave your opinions in the comments box. We always value your input and comments. We appreciate your support and invite you to subscribe to our channel for more reviews and updates.

Design and Build Quality

The Paselec GS9, which is intended for light-duty trail riding, is a noteworthy addition to the off-roading bike scene. Its targeted usage parameters are met with a pleasing experience thanks to its well-tailored design and build quality.

Paselec GS9 Review: Design and Build Quality

First off, the GS9 is built with a complete suspension system that includes a 40mm suspension shock in the back and a 100mm fork up front. The goal of this configuration is to reduce vibration and offer a more comfortable ride on rough ground. Due to its more entry-level rear shock, it might not perform as well as more expensive mountain bikes, but it still delivers respectable performance for the money, especially when utilized properly on mild off-road trails.

Paselec GS9 Review: 40mm suspension shock in the back

The stopping power of the GS9 is handled by Zoom hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors both front and rear, ensuring reliable braking performance when navigating through varied terrain.

One of the key attractions of the GS9 is its status as a full-suspension e-bike. This feature enhances comfort and control, particularly on rougher trails, making it a suitable choice for riders seeking a balance between performance and affordability in their off-road adventures.

Paselec GS9 Review: 40mm suspension shock in the back

In terms of design, the GS9 sports a distinctive aesthetic, although personal preferences may vary. The seat, while appearing plush, has a stiffer feel than expected but still provides adequate comfort for longer rides. The spider-themed design on the top may appeal to some riders, although those who prefer a different look can easily swap out the seat for one that suits their taste.

Paselec GS9 Review: 9-speed drivetrain setup

Moving to the cockpit area, the GS9 features faux leather grips that are ergonomically designed for comfortable handling. The 9-speed drivetrain setup operates smoothly, ensuring efficient power transfer and gear shifting during rides. The LCD color display provides essential information such as speed, pedal assist settings, and remaining battery life, remaining visible even in sunlight for convenient monitoring.

Paselec GS9 Review: seat

One potential drawback noted is the handlebar width, which may feel narrow for riders with broader shoulders, particularly for a bike marketed as a mountain bike. However, this can be a matter of personal preference and may not be a significant issue for riders primarily using the bike on paved paths and light-duty trails.

So, the Paselec GS9 offers a compelling package for riders looking for an affordable full-suspension e-bike tailored for light off-road adventures. While it may not match the performance of higher-end models, its design and build quality make it a worthy consideration within its intended usage scope.

Paselec GS9: Motor and Driving Test

With its punchy and zippy 500-watt rear hub motor, the Paselec GS9 is noted for its ability to make rides extremely entertaining and engaging. We performed a strenuous circuit test, which included a one-mile loop with four right-hand turns and a modest 30-foot slope, to further assess its motor abilities.

Paselec GS9 Review: on the road or driving test

We tested the bike’s performance with different pedal assist levels and conducted a single lap with the motor fully off to measure its efficiency in the absence of help. The GS9 demonstrated its agility and quickness in many scenarios, yielding outstanding results.

Without any motor assistance, the GS9 achieved a lap speed of around 13 miles per hour, demonstrating its ability to function as a traditional bike when needed. As we activated the pedal assist settings, we observed incremental speed increases, with the first two settings showing modest gains of about one to one and a half miles per hour.

Paselec GS9 Review: speed test

However, the real standout moment came when we switched to the third pedal assist setting. Here, we experienced a significant jump in speed, soaring from 15 and a half miles per hour to approximately 20 miles per hour. The acceleration remained impressive on the higher assist levels, with noticeable gains on settings four and five.

The hill climbing capability of the Paselec GS9 was put to the test on a challenging slope known affectionately as Hell Hole, featuring a one-third mile length with an average 12% grade. We conducted two tests to assess the bike’s performance: one using only the throttle and another on maximum pedal assist.

Paselec GS9 Review: on the road or driving test

During the throttle-only test, we encountered some challenges as we approached the hill. Despite reaching a speed of 20 miles per hour before the incline, the GS9 began to slow down significantly. We gradually dropped to lower speeds, and despite efforts to maintain momentum, we were unable to reach the top of the hill, eventually coming to a stop.

In contrast, the max assist hill test showcased a more successful ascent. While it took a few cranks on the pedals for the motor to engage fully, once in motion, the GS9 demonstrated a decent ability to hold speed, maintaining around 8 to 9 miles per hour as we tackled the steeper sections of the hill.

Paselec GS9 Review: on the road or driving test

The second steep pitch required some gear adjustments and assistance from the rider, but overall, the GS9 managed the climb without excessively straining the legs. The nine-speed drivetrain proved beneficial, offering a good range of gears to navigate varying terrain.

On the successful attempt, we reached the top of the hill in 1 minute and 42 seconds, averaging a speed of 10.6 miles per hour. It’s important to note that the difficulty of the hill meant not making it to the top on the first attempt was expected and not a reflection of the bike’s overall performance.

Paselec GS9 Review: on the road or driving test

A rider’s ability to climb hills can be influenced by various factors, including as their weight. Heavy riders may find that their ascents are completed at slightly slower speeds. In addition, even though the bike is classified as a Class 3 e-bike and can reach speeds of up to 28 miles per hour, we changed the bike’s settings during the test because the throttle is normally limited to 20 miles per hour.

Therefore, even though the GS9 can be difficult to use on very steep slopes, it functions well within its limitations and can handle a variety of terrain and moderate inclines—especially when using pedal assist modes properly. On most highways and trails, a smooth and pleasurable ride may be ensured by adjusting settings and being aware of the bike’s limitations.

Braking Test

The 180mm rotor front and rear Zoom hydraulic disc brakes, a well-known and reliable brand in the cycling community, provide the Paselec GS9 great stopping power. We’ve used these brakes on a lot of bikes over the past year, so we have a solid idea of their performance attributes.

We carried out tests five times, measuring the stopping distance each time, in order to fully evaluate the braking performance of the GS9. It is noteworthy that the average stopping distance of 16 feet and 10 inches was found in the data. This puts the GS9’s stopping power right around the 16-foot mark, which is the average of all the bikes we’ve tested.

The Zoom hydraulic disc brakes have consistently proven to be solid and reliable in our testing experiences. They provide confident and effective stopping power, contributing to a safe riding experience.

Paselec GS9 Review: brakes test

During the tests, one observation worth noting is that when coming to a full and complete stop, the bike exhibited some skidding and movement. Despite this, it was possible to achieve complete stops without any major issues. The slight movement felt, especially noticeable when raising out of the seat, may be attributed to the rear shock absorbing some of the braking force.

Battery and Range

To ensure that the information we provide on the battery performance of the bikes we review at Electric Bike Report is correct, we test each bike’s range thoroughly. We completed two range tests with varying pedal help levels for the Paselec GS9: one at the maximum level (pedal assist level five) and another at a lesser but still significant level (pedal assist level two).

Paselec GS9 Review: range test

We covered slightly under 26 miles with an average speed of 19.2 miles per hour using the Max Assist option (PAS level five). This outcome demonstrates the GS9’s capacity to go considerable distances at comparatively fast speeds, which qualifies it for longer rides and commuting.

Switching to the lowest assist setting we tested, which was pedal assist level two, the GS9 impressed us by delivering approximately 48 miles of range at an average pace of twelve miles per hour. This demonstrates the bike’s efficiency in providing constant and gradual assistance while conserving battery power, ideal for riders looking for extended range without sacrificing performance.

Paselec GS9: Conclusions

To sum up, the Paselec GS9 offers a strong package with a number of notable features that will interest riders of various backgrounds. Its exceptional speed capabilities make it a desirable option for individuals looking for a quick and thrilling e-bike ride. For riders seeking excitement, the bike’s excellent handling even at faster speeds enhances the riding experience.

Paselec GS9 Review: Entry-level E-Mountain Bike 2024!

The GS9’s suspension system is excellent; it dampens vibrations and offers a comfortable ride. Since the bike operates best when used within its designed parameters, it’s important to have reasonable expectations and not push it beyond that point.

Performance-wise, the GS9 has dependable braking, and its complete suspension system makes for a pleasurable and comfortable ride, particularly over rough terrain.

Paselec GS9 Review: 40mm suspension shock in the back

So, the GS9 is an e-bike that has a mountain bike-like design, making it enjoyable to ride and providing an exhilarating experience for riders that value performance and speed. The Paselec is an e-bike that is worth taking into consideration if you’re searching for one that can go fast and offers a smooth ride. HIDOES B10 Review: Design and Build Quality

Its moped type design, which gives it a robust and appealing appearance, starts with the frame. The bike’s 20×4 tires offer plenty of traction and stability, particularly over uneven surfaces. Your rides are safer because of the front mechanical disc brakes, which provide consistent stopping power.

HIDOES B10 Review: 20×4 tires

The suspension fork with double preload, which lets you change the spring tension on both sides, is one notable feature. This feature that allows for customisation is useful for riders with varying heights or tastes. You can also alter the handlebar height using the adjustable stem, making it comfortable for both short and tall riders.

HIDOES B10 Review: mechanical disc brakes

The inclusion of a detachable bag adds practicality to the bike. It’s convenient for carrying essentials like tools or a lock and features a snap closure for easy access. The bike also incorporates a chain guard to prevent clothing from getting caught in the gears, enhancing safety and comfort during rides.

Motor and Driving test

For cruising, the B10 is a great option, particularly for riders who are six feet tall. Comfort and control can be significantly improved by raising the handlebars. I rode this bike around the neighborhood and found it to be very well handled. I could keep up just fine with my 750W 48V e-bike, demonstrating the power and performance of the B10.

HIDOES B10 Review: on the road or driving test

We achieved speeds of about 29 mph throughout the tests, proving the bike’s steadiness at faster speeds. Smooth traveling is made possible by the pedal assistance and full throttle capabilities, whether navigating gentle inclines or flat terrain. The B10’s ability to maintain decent speeds on steeper climbs demonstrated its versatility as an e-bike.

Descending hills at full throttle, the bike reached a top speed of 30 mph, handling the speed and terrain with ease. The range of the battery is commendable, offering around 24 miles of riding before needing a recharge.

HIDOES B10 Review: on the road or driving test

In terms of handling and braking, the B10 delivers a smooth and responsive experience. Cornering and braking tests showed its stability and control, making it perfect for navigating urban environments or beachside pathways.

HIDOES B10 Review: controls and display

Speaking of the beach, the B10 handled sand surprisingly well. While deep sand may require some adjustments, like lowering tire pressure, the bike cruises through regular sand without issues. It’s a great option for beach cruising, offering a convenient and enjoyable way to explore coastal areas without parking hassles.

HIDOES B10 Review: on the road or driving test

Even though the suspension system is sufficient, it would be more comfortable to add an air shock or a gel seat cover for extended rides. These changes can greatly improve the riding experience by making the ride more pleasant and smooth.

HIDOES B10 Review: charging port

Thus, the HIDOES B10 is a competent and adaptable e-bike that can be used on a variety of surfaces and riding situations. An unbeatable combination of performance, comfort, and convenience is provided by this bike, whether you’re riding it for commuting, exploring the town, or having adventures at the beach.

Similar to other well-known electric mopeds like the Super 73, Aero Rider, and Juiced models, the DK300 has a triangular frame design. Its sturdy rear-wheel location, with a somewhat longer swing arm than comparable brands, is what distinguishes it, though. This design decision improves riding stability, particularly over uneven terrain.

The DK300 Max is distinguished by its dual-motor configuration, which combines two motors with 750-watt ratings (1200-watt peak) to provide a powerful 2400 watts. This enables a variety of riding modes, such as all-wheel drive, front-wheel drive, and rear-wheel drive, giving riders freedom and control according to their preferred terrain.

Meelod DK300 Max Review

The DK300 Max weights 138 pounds, making it a heavy but solid alternative for riders searching for a dependable electric moped for commuting or adventure uses despite its sturdy structure and feature-rich design. All things considered, the Meelod DK300 Max is a strong option for electric moped users since it blends cutting-edge design aspects with excellent build quality and performance advantages.

Meelod DK300 Max: Motor and Driving Test

Now, this is where the remarkable performance capabilities of the Meelod DK300 Max really shine. This electric moped has two hub motors rated at 750 watts each, with a maximum power output of 1200 watts. With this kind of power, it can climb and accelerate quite well.

Meelod DK300 Max Review: on the road or driving test

The DK300’s strong motors let it to travel at over 30 miles per hour, giving riders an exciting and effective riding experience. The DK300 is an exceptional performer in its class thanks to its acceleration skills, whether you’re traversing difficult terrain or city streets.

Turning on the Meelod is a straightforward process that involves entering a password on the color display. Starting with pedal assist level three and rear-wheel drive mode, the low-end torque feels robust yet controllable, gradually ramping up as you accelerate. This mode is ideal for navigating traffic and maintaining a comfortable speed without exerting too much power.

Meelod DK300 Max Review: on the road or driving test

Moving up to pedal assist level five increases the acceleration significantly, showcasing the DK300’s impressive torque and speed capabilities. With its dual 750-watt motors and 2400 watts of total power, hitting top speeds of over 30 miles per hour is easily achievable in this mode.

Switching to front-wheel drive provides a different riding experience, focusing more on grip and stability rather than raw speed. While it may not accelerate as quickly as rear-wheel drive, front-wheel drive is advantageous in situations requiring more traction, such as climbing hills or traversing uneven terrain.

Engaging the all-wheel drive dual motor mode unleashes the DK300’s full potential, delivering a thrilling and powerful ride experience. The acceleration is rapid, and the bike handles effortlessly, making it a joy to ride, especially in open spaces where you can fully exploit its capabilities.

The pedal assist system’s sensitivity, which reacts fast to even minute inputs, is one feature worth mentioning. If this sensitivity is not controlled correctly, it might result in sudden acceleration, particularly when using dual motor mode. However, riders may efficiently harness the power of the DK300 and enjoy a smooth riding experience with the right awareness and control.

As a result, the Meelod DK300 Max represents a considerable improvement over its predecessor and offers remarkable performance features at a cost-effective price. Its power, handling, and versatility make it an attractive option for riders looking for a high-performing electric moped that can handle a variety of riding conditions with ease.

Battery and Range

With its two detachable 48-volt, 20 amp-hour batteries, the Meelod DK300 Max is expected to have an amazing range of up to 150 miles. However, a number of variables, like the rider’s weight, the terrain, their pace, and whether or not they use pedal assistance, affect this maximum range.

We traveled 30.74 miles in total at an average speed of 15.5 miles per hour during a real-world range test. We also experienced a couple speed bursts during the test, with a top speed of about 33.6 mph. We were down to about 50% battery life by the conclusion of the journey.

Meelod DK300 Max Review: 48V 20ah, Meelod 29E 18650 Cells (91 cells) * 2

We estimate that the DK300 Max can get about 60 miles of range before needing to be recharged, based on our test and riding style. It’s important to remember that each person’s range may change depending on their riding preferences and situations. The bike’s overall range can be increased by taking into account topography, riding at slower speeds, and making effective use of pedal assist.

While the 150-mile stated range is a lofty goal that might be met under ideal circumstances, riders should estimate the DK300 Max’s range taking into account practical considerations. However, the bike’s dual battery system offers sufficient power and range for the majority of riding conditions, making it a dependable option for longer trips and excursions.

Meelod DK300 Max: Conclusions

In summary, the Meelod DK300 Max’s moped-style seat with memory foam, front hydraulic suspension fork, and respectable rear shock absorption all contribute to its comfortable and stable riding experience. The swing arm’s location and other aspects of the bike’s design help it stay stable on different types of roads.

Meelod DK300 Max Review

But, because to its 138-pound weight, the DK300 can be difficult to move and handle, especially around stairs and racks. If you require a more transportable solution, take this into consideration.

Robust safety features include both wheels’ four-piston hydraulic disc brakes, which provide dependable stopping capability, particularly at higher speeds. In low light, the integrated 48-volt headlight with high and low beams and taillight improve visibility and increase rider safety.

Meelod DK300 Max Review: 12W LED Retro-style headlights

The color LCD display on the left side of the vehicle makes it easy to keep an eye on your ride by showing vital details like battery life, speed, and distance traveled.

So, especially when compared to other moped-style fat tire e-bikes with multiple batteries and motors, the Meelod DK300 Max offers good value for the money. For riders looking for long-distance adventures and the ability to keep up with traffic, it’s a good option.
