I made it plain to them before accepting their offer that I wanted to discuss the bike’s advantages and disadvantages openly. The bike was transported from a Polish warehouse, and I received it four days after our agreement.

Tesgo Hummer: Design and Build Quality

I’m a little hesitant to keep my phone on the fragile plastic phone mount. Even though the air pump isn’t of the best caliber, these are freebies.

The size and quality of the completed bike are really amazing.

It has a massive, thick rubber wheel that is 20 inches in diameter by 4 inches, and it offers a steady and comfortable ride. I Tesgore these thick tires so much! Although they can somewhat increase rolling resistance and reduce range, they are really cool. The bike looks aggressive and dynamic thanks to its alloy rims. When riding the bike on asphalt, the tires are fairly noisy, but I absolutely like that!

When the front brake and the rear brake are applied simultaneously, the 180mm brake disc performs admirably. But I really hope hydraulic brakes are added in the upcoming upgrade!

When pulled, the sturdy brake levers turn off the motor power. Outstanding for a safe journey!

Unlock the primary folding system, fold the frame, then unlock the folding handlebar system and drag it backward to fully fold the Hummer. The front wheels have a fixed axle and cannot be removed, but the plastic pedals may be folded as well.

Simply take the saddle off if you need to make it even smaller. By the way, Teflon protects the interior of the seat tube. Position and height adjustments are more simple and won’t harm the aluminum seat post. Well done, Tesgo Bikes!

The metal frame is sturdy and expertly constructed. The welds are quite strong and have a nice appearance. It is by no means a small or light bike; the battery added increases its weight to roughly 34 kg.

People who are 150 cm to 200 cm tall can ride this bicycle with ease. The seat post and handlebars can both be adjusted in a variety of ways. The manufacturer recommends a maximum load of 120 kg. Getting acclimated to the 53 cm long handlebar will take some time.

Although the tires are thick and there is no back suspension, the ride quality is excellent. The majority of bumps and shocks are effectively reduced by the tight front suspension, which has been tested extensively. There isn’t an adjustment option, though.

The front and rear lights are quite bright if you enjoy riding a bike at night. Simply click the button on the left side of the handlebar to switch on the front light. In the same location, there is a handy electric horn as well.

You must first insert the key and turn it, just like you would for a car ignition, to start the bike. The battery compartment can be locked and unlocked using the same key. The key’s location is not ideal. The bike can get dusty, and if the key is off, it won’t start.

It’s straightforward and simple to operate this pc. The backlight makes the LCD’s brightness easy to view even on sunny days. To start the bike, simply press and hold the “Power” button. It displays the battery level, time, trip meter, speed, and other data. Three pedal assist settings are also available.

Tesgo Hummer: Motor and Battery

The cruise control is on until you press the brake, and you will see the letter “P” on the LCD screen.

The first and second of the three menu options will operate with the pedal assistant, while the third is solely for the throttle. You must then modify the menu options if you wish to utilize “throttle only” without having to start cycling.

The USB charger, which can be found even in the dark, is another awesome feature!

Although the saddle isn’t terrible, I intend to replace it shortly. Again, the quality of this bike is great, but there are a few minor touches that really set it apart, such the side stand support, cable management, and shock protection of the folding mechanism.

On a single charge, the 48V 17.4 Ampere Hour battery has a range of about 60 kilometers. By cycling together, you may increase the range. It takes about 6-7 hours to fully charge. Anyone planning a lengthy trip would be wise to get a second battery pack.

Speaking of batteries, they can hop, move inside the frame, and create unpleasant noises, much like in earlier models and many other foldable electric bikes. Simply attaching a felt strip along the battery body will take care of this. Nothing major, and it’s simple to fix!

You may either remove the battery and charge it somewhere else or connect the charger straight to your bicycle.

The new model from Tesgo Bikes includes a tight rubber cap that shields the charging connector from dirt and moisture as a result of their attention to our comments. It can be driven in the rain because it has received official IPX5 certification. When the battery runs out, it’s not terrible to be without power, but it’s also not the most pleasant sail!

Make sure everything is tightened down before your first ride, and charge the battery completely. I didn’t have to mount the foot and pedals in this instance. As a result, the assembly took no longer than two minutes. It was sufficient to inflate the wheels, adjust the saddle, and the handlebars. The gears weren’t adjusted either. 

The identical folding or unfolding of the bike only takes a dozen or so seconds when everything is in its proper place. Do not lose the key; you will be unable to activate the power steering without it.

Tesgo Hummer: Conclusions

The bike Tesgo Hummer offers excellent value for the money. In Poland, I believe it would be challenging to find an equivalent with similar requirements. Driving this type, in my opinion, provides far greater comfort. The worse range and weight are the drawbacks. If I were to choose again between the ADO A20 and Hummer, I would unquestionably choose the latter.

Following that, Tesgo focused heavily on logistics and after-sales support in the European Union. Just wondering how well it holds up after six months of use. Since I’ve owned ADO A20 for almost two months, everything has been in its proper position.

The Libra E-Bike from Fucare Libra has a lot of dynamism. It is a class 3 electric bike with a 750 watt hub motor and throttle, which is standard for motorcycles in its class.

Fucare Libra: Design and Build Quality

This Fucare Libra electric bike is completely devoid of unnecessary features. After turning the saddle out of the way, the battery may be conveniently removed from beneath the seat tube. The step-through frame allows riders with heights between 5′ 5″ and 6′ 6″ to use it.

The bicycle has mounts for a front basket, front and rear fenders, and a rear rack. Directly in front of the rider on the downtube is where the water bottle cage is located. I expect to see more step-through designs as bicycle aesthetics continue to evolve. The step-through fat tire design allows for a wide range of rider heights and is simple to mount.

I’ve been spoilt by some of the numerous folding bikes I’ve tested recently that came fully assembled in the package, requiring only a quick unfold to get me out and moving. Getting the Fucare Libra up and running takes a little more effort, especially for my test unit, which arrived with a damaged rear fender. 

In addition to providing all of the equipment required to construct and maintain the bike, Fucare Libra also includes a very clear and thorough handbook. You should be able to put together the handlebars, front wheel, pedals, seat, front fender, and rear rack in about 30 minutes if you simply follow the instructions. I was a little taken aback to learn that installing the rear rack is mandatory, but it does allow you the option of using the bike without the rack.

Navigating the bike’s cockpit is simple. A thumb-activated Shimano drivetrain with seven standard gears is located to the rider’s right. Easy to hold and incredibly responsive is the rubberized twist grip throttle. When operating at greater speeds, this bike offers a lot of torque.

One lighting module and an unusually loud trumpet are located on the left. The +/- dials for the speed settings and your on/off power are controlled by a second module.

A high contrast panel that displays MPH, speed, total mileage, and headlight settings is located in the middle of the vehicle. With polarized sunglasses, you can experience visibility problems, but otherwise, the screen is simple to read.

For a more comfortable ride, the handle bar grips are ergonomic and flatter. These grips are a major benefit for me as a mountain rider who has battled carpel tunnel and wrist issues.

Any pathway chatter that you may encounter is handled by the four-inch tires. The cherry on top of the comfort is the front suspension fork. The tire and suspension combination provides a very smooth, stable ride, especially when loaded down with saddle bags or baskets, which is useful if you need to drop a curb or navigate particularly poorly maintained roads.

Only by inserting the key and unlocking the battery can the battery be taken out. Store the key safely so you may remove the battery for storage and charging even though you don’t need it to run the bike. The battery can be charged while installed on the bike as well.

On the left side of the handlebars are the controls for the bike and display. The controls and options for exhibiting various sorts of data on the display include a number of icons. When the display is on and the surrounding area is dark, the headlights will automatically turn on, but you can also manually turn them on.

Fucare Libra: Motor and Battery

As the rider starts and stops riding through intersections, the seven speed Shimano drivetrain gives you more gearing possibilities. Although it won’t stop theft, this excellent security measure should deter thieves from targeting the bike.

You can log your rides and view your ride history using the smartphone app. Using the app, you may adjust the illumination, assist strength, and speed level settings.

According to its specifications, the Fucare Libra can travel up to 55 miles in pedal assist mode Level 1 with a 165-pound passenger and 40 miles in throttle-only mode. As a 240-pound cyclist who frequently rides up hills, my range was limited. I was able to go a week without charging the bike because I normally ride 7 miles a day, which is all I’m looking for in an e-bike for commuting.

The bike has a good step-through design that makes it simple to get on and off and is built for users between 5 feet, 4 inches and 6 feet, 5 inches tall. The water bottle holder is unique to this e-bike among those I have tested. Although I like how easily a folding bike like the Zectron can be stored, nothing compares to the commute experience of a bike that is specifically made for riding in traffic. I especially enjoyed the bright, flashing electrical turn signals because it’s difficult to ride a huge, heavy e-bike and get those arm signals out. A fantastic way to let drivers know what you are doing on the bike is to have a bright brake light. Additionally, the bike includes a reasonably loud horn that you can use to signal when necessary.

You can update the bike’s settings, regulate whether it’s locked, and keep track of your journeys using the smartphone app. Given that it sticks out on the street, the orange hue is also a nice safety feature. At high speeds, the Fucare Libra feels robust because of its well-built design, excellent paint job, and high-quality welds. I like the angled handlebars with leather grips on the ends, and the seat is comfortable. The controls are simple to use and the display is big.

The big tire Fucare Libra E-bike, priced at $1,299, will save you money on gas. The torque and braking power would be the two most apparent features (considering the model of brake.) If you don’t rig your own seat and footrest, there isn’t a place for a passenger. If you’re a DIY kind of rider, you could make place for two as the bike can support up to 330lbs of capacity.

The big tires are advantageous both physically and figuratively. When the bike path got icy and the weather changed, I felt secure and firmly rooted. Additionally, the tire size made fast-speed cornering pleasant.

You won’t be dissatisfied whether this is your family’s fifth e-bike or your first. The only aspect of this specific Fucare Libra e-design bike that I’d modify is that I wish there was more room for passengers.

Cake is a Swedish manufacturer of electric motorcycles, is expanding into the four-wheeled vehicle market and has committed to creating a new type of semi-autonomous all-terrain vehicle for farmers.

Before your ride home, you might store the bike in a room’s corner or perhaps under your desk. Theoretically ideal for the fabled traffic in major cities like Tokyo.

The folding mechanism is more complicated than it first appears to be, and the Motocompo’s two-stroke engine meant that both your car and your clothes would smell like fuel. Honda expected to sell 10,000 of them per month, but in reality, only 50,000 were sold in two years.

Motocompacto has recently had a new trademark application filed with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. In the Canadian lawsuit, there are two distinct filings, the second of which is spelled Moto Compacto. The trademark is described as being associated with Goods Land vehicles, namely self-balancing electric scooters and motor scooters with electrical propulsion. A tiny scooter-themed trademark logo design is also included in the Canadian application.

The spirit of the Motocompo lives on, despite the fact that we haven’t seen a new concept or production bike in a while. In 2020, Honda filed for trademark rights on the word “Motocompacto,” which it still retains in a number of nations, including the US. The Motocompacto trademark is targeted specifically at “self-balancing electric scooters.” After more than two years, the project seems to be one step closer to becoming a reality because Honda has just applied for IP protection for a logo to go with the Motocompacto brand, giving us our first look at what the bike that will utilize it would look like.

The small Motocompo was made in quantities of up to 50,000 between 1981 and 1983. Due to the lack of a gas engine, the electric version of this little bike is anticipated to be smaller. In order to excite the market, it is also probably to include a number of other developments. Honda appears to be on track to meet its goal of introducing 10 new electric motorcycles and scooters by 2025. During EICMA 2022, it also debuted the Honda EM1 design for its electric moped in Europe.

The Motocompacto’s small size and array of technological features may attract the market’s attention to the Honda nameplate. Honda has not yet released any official information about the Motocompacto.

A box-shaped machine’s outline is depicted in the logo, with two wheels, some bars, and a seat issuing from it. That makes it different from the first Motocompo, even if the new bike seems even squarer, like a trunk on wheels. Although the logo itself is obviously a highly simplified form of the concept, such as an avatar to represent the bike rather than a scale picture of the machine, it is most likely exactly what it will be.

Since the original Motocompo was primarily designed for the Japanese market, both the name and the emblem of the company have become trademarks in North America. The original release in 2020 came from the US, then in November 2022, two further applications – one of which featured the redesigned logo – were made in Canada.
