Liger X and Liger X Plus: Who is This E-Scooter Suitable For?

Date:

The world’s first self-balancing electric scooters are the Liger X and Liger X Plus. The two cars’ specification sheets are available and they were on display at the Auto Expo 2023 in India. These automobiles are some of the standout exhibits at India’s premier auto show this year.

The company’s unique AutoBalancing technology is used by Liger X and Liger X Plus to enable automatic balancing. At the Auto Expo 2023 earlier this week, both scooters made their world debuts. Both scooters have a top speed of 65 kmph, and the full charge range for the Liger X is 60 kilometers and for the Liger X Plus is 100 kilometers.

The Liger X and X Plus electric scooters are some of the most distinctive models on display at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show. The show featured a number of e-scooter manufacturers in addition to Honda, Tata, Hyundai, Suzuki, and Kia. The two electric scooters, according to Liger Mobility, are the first ever self-balancing electric scooters. The two versions are compatible with the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles II. The FAME II subsidy system offers subsidies of up to 40%.

For the electric scooters, many fascinating technical aspects are required. The models’ precise characteristics are still a secret. However, both versions have a top speed of 65 km/h and a range of 60 to 100 kilometers.

Lithium-ion battery packs that are liquid-cooled power both the scooters. The Liger X Plus includes a built-in non-detachable battery that charges to maximum capacity in less than 4.5 hours, in contrast to the Liger X’s easily detachable battery pack. For an additional fee, the company also offers fast charging for both scooters.

The scooters also have a TFT display, 4G and GPS-enabled architecture, and turn-by-turn navigation. The business has also released an app that users can pair with their scooters to enable real-time vehicle position tracking, ride history tracking, battery % tracking, and weather tracking. Additionally, the rider will get intelligent alerts such as tow, accident, service reminders, etc.

For the scorching climate of India, the two Liger Mobility electric scooters will have liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery packs. The two models’ battery capacity are still unknown. The Liger X will have a removable battery, though, and it can be fully charged in just three hours. A non-detachable battery pack for the Liger X Plus may be fully charged in four and half hours. Options for quicker charging will be available.

“Over the past few years, the dedicated engineers at Liger Mobility have put in a lot of effort to make our two-wheeler AutoBalancing technology both technically and commercially feasible. Ashutosh Upadhyay, co-founder of Liger Mobility, said, “All components of Liger X and Liger X Plus’s AutoBalancing technology, including the hardware and software, have been created in-house, further highlighting India’s vision, dedication, and quality of engineering expertise.

Liger X and Liger X Plus: Price and Availability

OTA software updates, a reverse button, and a learning mode are a few features of the Liger X and X Plus electric scooters, among others. The Liger X Plus offers 4G and GPS capabilities in addition to turn-by-turn navigation. While the Liger X retails for Rs. 90,000 or $1,100, the Liger X Plus is the more expensive of the two.
