Electric bikes in the scrambler style are currently popular. They defy the existing trend of lightweight, understated looks and are inspired by the on- and off-road vintage motorcycles of the 1960s. Riding the GOGOBest GF750 makes me feel as though I’m driving my old Jeep Wrangler. Like my Jeep, it can change directions quickly and darts around, but it is jittery and uneasy when making sharp, fast corners. It doesn’t carve corners. It travels like a fun truck.

GOGOBest GF750: Design and Build Quality

On a clear day with wet roads from snowmelt, I went for a spin in the GF750 for my final test ride. I’ve never rode a bike that sprayed that much road water across my face and torso, not even one without fenders. It resembled being in a malicious shower that poured mud. I had to end the test ride early and hurry home since the visibility was so low that I was having problems seeing the road. Muddy road water was on my helmet, in my hair, all over my face, and all the way down my pants when I subsequently glanced in the mirror.

The small, inadequate front fender was undoubtedly a problem, although it’s possible that the problem is related to the size of the wheels. This might be difficult to fix. There isn’t a manufacturer of aftermarket replacement fenders for the GF750 that I’m aware of. The GOGOBest GF750 is such a peculiar form with short, extremely wide tires that there are a lot of aftermarket fenders that are intended to fit bikes with typically sized wheels, but they definitely wouldn’t fit.

The throttle issue is another problem. I was coasting behind traffic on that same, damp drive back home when the bike abruptly accelerated to full power. On a 2000W, 28-mph ebike, when that occurs, it sounds like someone pushing a nitrous-oxide button. As a fail-safe, ebikes include brake levers that, when pulled, turn off the motor power. However, unexpected acceleration can be risky. I attributed it to a glitch after almost colliding with the back of the van in front of me.

The bike would repeatedly go to full power, or if I stopped pedaling, the bike would continue to accelerate. Other times, when pedaling, there would suddenly be no power until I lightly depressed the throttle, turning on the electric help once more. It was acting glitchy everywhere, which made the drive home tense.

I was at a red light at a busy crossroads when the bike suddenly threw me into a line of people crossing the street. Thankfully, I was able to stop it before I knocked anyone over with the brakes. I looked online to see whether other GF750 users were experiencing the same problem. Indeed, the identical throttling issues were being reported by users across other boards. I owned the bike for a few weeks before this issue started, but all those rides were on dry roads. The failures started within 15 minutes of the first time I drove it on a wet road.

When I sent back my test bike, GOGOBest GF750’s engineers claimed they were unable to reproduce the issue, but they believed it required a firmware upgrade. Similar problems have been reported, but according to the business, a firmware update should fix them.

I’m still pessimistic. Why would it only occur when roads are wet if there was a firmware problem? I have a sneaking suspicion that the controller isn’t fully waterproof, but I can’t say for sure. I questioned the company about whether it tested the bike in wet weather, but neither answer was given.

GOGOBest GF750: Motor and Driving

A Class 3 ebike is the GOGOBest GF750. With the hand throttle, you may accelerate it to 20 miles per hour while standing still and 28 miles per hour when pedaling with the help of the electric motor. This is due to the rear and front hub motor’s 1000-watt continuous. That is three times as powerful as many less expensive ebikes.

The motor, however, unlocks 2000W peak power when the parameters are changed to Unlimited mode. You’ll be moving faster than 28 mph with it, which might be problematic. Riding an ebike at those speeds in public locations is prohibited in several states.

The electric motor aid can be turned on and off using a cadence sensor that is located at the pedals, however it is not particularly accurate. Slightly pedal, and the bike takes off. You won’t ever want to pedal this bike without the electronic assistance. (GOGOBest GF750 does sell a $235 10-speed kit, but it wasn’t on my test bike.)

My improper charging of the battery contributed to my battery dying. My fault not! The charger flashes a green light when you plug it in. That implies that it isn’t charging. The battery must be turned on by pressing the power button, at which point the LED turns red to indicate that it is charging. Strange. So that you don’t have to carry the entire bike to an outlet, at least the battery is removable.

GOGOBest GF750: Battery and Range 

According to the manufacturer, the large 17.5 Ah battery has a range of 70 miles, or 40 miles if you drive at 20 mph while only using the throttle. Because of the fenders and a broken throttle, I frequently had problems finishing long trips, thus it’s difficult to say if these range estimates are realistic.

GOGOBest GF750: Conclusions

The remainder of the bike feels well-built, but it’s challenging to get past those potentially deadly flaws. GOGOBest GF750 didn’t cut corners with the details. The bike has a neat, clean appearance since all of the cables and wires from the handlebars are routed into the frame. The 630 lumen LED headlight is enormous and fantastic for illuminating the road at night, and the prominent LED taillight makes it difficult to miss. You can also purchase it in stainless steel or black, but the shiny white paint is a really great addition.

The comfortable motorcycle-style seat is 31 inches tall, non-adjustable, and rather low. According to GOGOBest GF750, the bike is suitable for riders who are 5’1″ to 6’8″. Being seated at a school desk made me feel like a bear, although I’m only 5’10”. The bike links with a smartphone app, but unlike VanMoof, you are not required to use it in order to ride the bike. That’s great. Most of the time, I only want to focus on the LCD panel on the handlebars.

The GF750 is a powerful and entertaining bike. And until I didn’t, I enjoyed riding it. If GOGOBest GF750 could fix the throttle problems and provide a front fender that actually works, they would have a bike that deserves to be recommended.

For many people, bicycles are steadily replacing cars as a mode of transportation. But it is simple to lose motivation if our route to work or the store is not entirely level or we frequently encounter strong winds. BEZIOR M2: Design and Build Quality

We don’t even need to remember to pack a powerbank if our phone or a sports camera runs out of battery because there is a USB socket right here.

BEZIOR M2: Battery and Range

The vehicle’s integrated 12.5 Ah battery, which offers a maximum autonomous range of 100 km in assistance mode or around 50 km in electric mode, completes the package. It will take between 4 and 6 hours for it to fully recharge at the time of the recharge.

In reality, the range of 80–90 km is entirely feasible with light wind, easy driving, and no additional gains. These values naturally decrease as you climb, but you can still have a great deal of contact independence. Inmotion S1: Design and Build Quality

When examining the Inmotion S1, its fundamental character is the first thing that stands out from an aesthetic, design, and material perspective. The build quality and cost-cutting techniques used to keep the Inmotion S1’s price affordable are the main drawbacks. However, if the quality of plastics in less important places is what worries you, you might already be seeking a more expensive model.

Anyone who has to move around urban and suburban regions and wants to do it autonomously and environmentally friendly, but with the awareness of transporting a rather bulky, but safe and efficient electric scooter, should strongly consider this choice.

It would have been ideal if it had a broader footboard and more upscale materials next to the screen.

The Inmotion S1 offers a lot, for the most part, even though it won’t appeal to everyone looking for a scooter with greater emphasis on speed.

Aventon improved the Level e-outstanding bike’s ride quality and visibility. The rear hub motor on the bike of the current generation is powered more evenly thanks to a new torque sensor. When cycling, the Level.2 feels more instinctive and natural. One of our favorite commuting e-bikes has been improved with the inclusion of integrated lights and a smaller, simpler display.

Aventon Level.2: Design and Build Quality

That frame is a rolling work of art with Aventon’s distinctive smooth welds, and I wish other manufacturers would better replicate it. Such beautiful manufacturing at this pricing point is uncommon.

The Aventon team has been quite busy this year, rolling out improvements to current platforms and releasing new models. The new Soltera came first, and we thought it was so great that we named it one of the Best Bikes of 2022. The Pace 350 and Pace 500 cruising e-bikes were then updated by Aventon. In recent months, it also revised the Sinch folding model.

Regarding frame integrations, have a look at those tail lights. The business integrated the tail lights directly into the seat stays on the back of the frame, just like on Aventon’s other well-liked electric bicycles. This means that at night, you have good sight from the side and rear. Since the front headlight is handlebar mounted, you can steer around a corner while it turns using the bars. The left controller is also used to control the built-in lighting of the Level.2. Although we didn’t have many complaints about the original Level, we did wish the bike came standard with lights. The Aventon Level.2 has 27.5 x 2.1 inches tires, and it also has a full fender package to keep dirt and water from splashing all over you. The back of the bike has a rear rack that commuters can use to attach panniers or an additional cargo box for carrying items.

Both a step-over frame (54 pounds) and a step-through frame are available for the bicycle (52 pounds). 

For the step-over and step-through frame types, respectively, Regular and Large and S/M and M/L, are the two sizes that are offered. The size Large step-over frame fit our test rider, who is 6 feet tall, fairly well. But the M/L size step-through frame was a little too narrow, so she had to lift the seatpost to the top height permitted. Choose the Large step-over frame if you are taller than 6 feet.

The Level.2 has a more expensive appearance thanks to a new color display. Last year, Aventon bikes like the Aventure fat-tire bike started to get similar LCD displays. The head unit displays important riding data like speed, distance, and level of assistance. The new device is smaller and includes an easy-to-use menu system that can be accessed by pressing the controller next to the left-hand grip.

The only aspect of the Level.2 that we didn’t like was the Zoom Aria suspension fork. The Aria tops out forcefully on larger bumps, while having a nice appearance. For our test riders, the fork was also under-sprung. Fortunately, the lockout function is reliable.

Aventon Level.2: Motor and Drive

How the motor gets turned on is one of the bike’s most significant recent updates. With pedal assistance, the bike can reach speeds of 28 mph or 20 mph thanks to a 500W continuous-rated back hub motor.

We sometimes found ourselves zipping across town in mode 4 or 5 for shorter rides. We kept the controller’s lower setting of 2 or 3 when on the bike path. Only when cycling in a busy environment did we actually use mode 1.

Speaking of pedal assistance, the new torque sensor makes it better than before. Contrary to cheaper cadence sensors, a torque sensor measures the force of your pedaling rather than the speed. This enables the bike to give a pedal assist that is significantly more responsive and intuitive and better imitates your own power delivery.

With the Level.2 unlocked as a class-3 e-bike and a rider weighing 200 pounds, we got roughly 30 miles of range. We used a combination of the throttle, pedal assistance, climbing hills, and riding on various terrains. That range will be increased by lighter riders, maintaining the Level.2 in class-2 mode, and using the throttle more carefully.

The eight-speed gearbox offers for even more pleasant pedaling and enables riders to select the ideal gearing for their speed and terrain.

The Level.2 is described as a class-2 e-bike having a top pedal-assist speed of 20 mph when it is taken out of the box. You may easily increase the top speed of the pedaling assistance via the Aventon app to 31.7 mph if you choose. Without pedaling, you can travel up to 20 mph using the throttle control. The Aventon’s downtube is neatly home to a 672 Watt-hour battery. Although it is the same component as the bike from the prior generation, the Level.2’s new torque sensor could aid to extend range. We put the Level.2 through it’s own trials in daily commuter life for two weeks. We utilized it for enjoyable rides about town, errand runs, and transportation to work. We rode it across crushed gravel bike trails, freshly constructed asphalt roads, and unkempt city streets. On level terrain and up some of the city’s steepest streets, we rode it.

Comparable passenger versions from rival companies don’t compare favorably to the Level.2 ride in terms of premium quality, use, or polish. The ride is not nearly as comfortable and natural-feeling as on e-bikes with mid-drive motors, but it is arguably the best-feeling hub motor we have experienced on a bike under $2,000.

The e-scooter has a high rate of acceleration and can easily handle ascents that are more difficult. The Eleglide D1 Master and the Kirin G3 are essentially comparable in terms of speed, although the Kirin G3 only needs one 1200 watt motor as opposed to two 500 watt motors.

The shock absorbers effectively absorb road imperfections, and the 10.5-inch wheels provide excellent road holding. I ultimately select option 3, which lets you go at a pace of 50 kilometers per hour. We first learn about the electric scooter’s potential at this point. Driving is done without risk or worry if you get off to a more dynamic start and don’t land on your buttocks.
